From An Outdated Website To A Professional Digital Experience

When Advocate Insurance Brokers Ltd. needed its corporate website redesigned and redeveloped, the objective was clear: turn an outdated and poorly responsive digital presence into a modern website that better represented the company's expertise.

I came in to turn an approved UI/UX design into a fully functional, production-ready website.

The Challenge

Advocate Insurance Brokers had an existing website that no longer reflected the professionalism and scope of its business.

The experience had responsiveness issues, and the digital presentation did not communicate the company's services and industry expertise as effectively as it could.

The project required more than a visual refresh. It required a complete website rebuild, from frontend implementation to the functionality and infrastructure needed to launch the new platform.

Turning A Design Into A Working Product

The project began with an approved UI/UX design created by a designer. My responsibility was to translate that design into a functional corporate website.

I developed the frontend experience and implemented the supporting functionality required for the website to operate as a real business platform.

The core website implementation was completed in approximately five days.

But the development process was only one part of delivering the project.

The Unexpected Challenge: Domain Ownership

While the website was ready for deployment, we encountered an issue with the company's domain.

The domain was still controlled by the developer who had built the previous website. This created a dependency that prevented us from completing the transition smoothly.

Rather than allowing the issue to stall the project, I remained engaged throughout the process, followed up consistently, and worked toward helping the business regain control of its domain.

Eventually, the domain was released to Advocate Insurance Brokers, allowing us to proceed with the next stage of the launch.

This was a reminder that delivering a website involves more than writing code. It also requires communication, persistence, and the ability to navigate challenges beyond the codebase.

Building The New Corporate Website

With the domain ownership issue resolved, I moved the project to a new hosting environment and prepared the website for production.

The final implementation was deployed on Vercel, with contact and enquiry functionality connected to Resend for email delivery.

The new website included:
